Last updated: October 1, 2026
1. Overview
This website is operated by nextstepbetter ("we", "us" or "our"). Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to nextstepbetter, including The Heirloom Kitchen titles we publish. We offer this website, including all information, tools, products and services available from it (together, the "Services"), to you, the user, on the condition that you accept these Terms of Service ("Terms").
By visiting our site, purchasing anything from us, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by the policies referenced here, including our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.
Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the online ecommerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to make a purchase. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide to us is accurate and complete.
3. Digital products and license
Our products are digital goods, such as PDF ebooks and related downloadable files (the "Products"). Nothing is shipped.
When you purchase a Product, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, view and print the Product for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may keep copies on your own devices and print copies for your own household use.
You may not, without our prior written permission:
- resell, rent, lend, sublicense or otherwise distribute the Product or any part of it;
- share, upload or post the files (or your download link) on any website, file-sharing service, social media group, email list or other channel where others can access them;
- give or send copies of the files to other people, whether or not you charge for them;
- remove or alter any copyright notice, branding or author information; or
- use the Product, or any part of it, to create a competing product or commercial work.
All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by us. If you breach this license, it ends automatically and you must delete all copies of the Product.
4. Pricing and payment
All prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise and are one-time payments unless clearly described as a subscription. Prices and product descriptions may change at any time without notice, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including orders that appear to be fraudulent or that were placed at a price shown in error. If we cancel an order after you have been charged, we will refund the charge.
Payments are processed securely by our payment providers. You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and payment information, and you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide. Any applicable taxes will be shown at checkout.
5. Delivery of digital goods
After your payment is confirmed, you will receive access to your download, typically on the order confirmation page and by email to the address you provide at checkout. Delivery is usually instant but may occasionally take a few minutes. If you do not receive your download, please check your spam or promotions folder and then contact us. Download links may expire or have a download limit, so we recommend saving your files promptly. You are responsible for having a compatible device and software (such as a PDF reader) to open the files.
6. Refunds
Because our Products are delivered instantly as digital downloads, all sales are final except as described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services or Products will not exceed the amount you paid for the Product that gave rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless nextstepbetter and its owners, employees, contractors and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or the rights of a third party, or your misuse of the Services or Products.
